Ruth Holland BSc (Hons), PG Dip, MCSP, HCPC, ACPAT A, RAMP
I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2007 from King’s College, London, beginning my career with the NHS in Lanarkshire and Lothian. During this time, I gained valuable experience treating both acute and chronic musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, deepening my understanding of the body’s healing process. My work sparked an interest in clinical Pilates, which I found to be an effective rehabilitation tool for my patients.
In 2011, I moved to London, where I honed my clinical Pilates skills at Corefit Physio, specialising in reformer Pilates both in individual sessions and small group settings. My career expanded to roles as an occupational MSK physiotherapist at John Lewis, Move clinic, and Nuffield Health (GSK), where I focused on reformer Pilates and running assessments. These experiences led me to establish my own successful physiotherapy and Pilates business in west London.
Returning to Scotland opened the door to a long-held ambition to work as a veterinary physiotherapist. I have since earned a postgraduate diploma in veterinary physiotherapy, enabling me to use my human physiotherapy experience to work with horses and dogs. Currently, I am furthering my knowledge by pursuing a master’s degree in veterinary physiotherapy at Hartpury University.
I am a registered professional with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT), the Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners (RAMP), and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). These credentials affirm my commitment to delivering high-standard, fully insured, and expertly regulated physiotherapy services for both humans and animals.
